After spending seemingly endless hours slaving over my city map, I decided to try something a little different. These images were created and rendered in Terragen 2, a fantastic terrain generation program that produces beautiful images without a lot of work. There’s plenty of room for customization, though, and you can even import DEM images of real terrain. Then you can create all kinds of textures, colors, etc., add water, change the sky and lighting, and pretty much modify just about anything. These were all done over the past week or so; some were rendered at lower settings, while others I took the time to render at higher settings. I think I’ll keep messing around with Terragen for awhile.
